About Us

Providence One Partners, LLC  was founded in 2008 by Tom Green and Michelle Pierce. Tom and Michelle have a distinguished track record in developing commercial and residential real estate with over 50 years of industry experience in multiple property types, including over 6,000 apartment homes (market-rate and senior apartments). Providence is primarily focused on developing sustainable senior living communities, with several developments under construction or in pre-development across Florida.

Tom GreenTom Green, Principal

Tom Green served as Senior Vice President of Colonial Properties Trust’s commercial division where he developed the company’s Flagship Development, Colonial TownPark and led Colonial’s Florida portfolio growth from 300,000 square feet to over 10 million square feet, including offices in 4 cities.  His diverse real estate background includes Acquisitions, Dispositions, Development, Brokerage, Operations and Asset Management.  Colonial TownPark has received numerous awards for its unique integration of Live, Work, and Shop elements, which led to the company being selected by NAIOP as “National Developer of the Year” in 2003.  Colonial was also named “Central Florida Developer of the Year” in both 2002 and 2003 under Tom’s leadership. Tom is a past member of NAIOP’s National Mixed-Use Forum and has been a consistent speaker on Mixed-Use developments.  He earned a BSBA degree with a concentration in Management and Finance from the University of Central Florida, holds both the CCIM and RPA designations, and is a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker.  Tom recently served on the Board of Trustees for American Communities Properties Trust (publicly traded on the American Stock Exchange), and was a member of the Special Committee that guided the company’s sale at the end of 2009.  Tom has been involved in the community throughout his career. He served as Chairman of  Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Orlando Chapter.  He is a past Chairman of the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce, and a graduate of Leadership Florida. He currently serves on the board of the Orlando Sanford International Airport Authority.

 

Michelle Pierce, Principal

Michelle Pierce brings a significant amount of expertise and passion to Providence One as an expert in multifamily and mixed use development projects, having successfully sourced (15) new land acquisitions and developed more than 6,000 homes and apartment homes combined.  Pierce’s projects have a combined value of more than one billion dollars and her real estate development footprint spans five states and Washington DC.  Pierce’s multifamily experience includes developing market rate communities, tax-credit communities and senior/age-restricted multifamily assets.  She also has considerable acquisition experience in purchasing and repositioning multifamily communities. While at First Centrum, LLC, Michelle developed several Independent Living Facilities and earned an Aging Place Certification from the National Association of Homebuilders.  She has a working knowledge and understanding of the critical factors that ensure their success and sustainability. Due to her attention to details, her developments have all been completed within budget and have received multiple awards for best site plan, architecture and interior design.  Pierce has an M.B.A. from the American University in Washington DC with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and a B.S. from Wake Forest University in Business and Accounting.  Her significant experience includes tenure with some of the top multifamily developers in the country including, Avalon Properties (now Avalon Bay), First Centrum, LLC, JPI and Colonial Properties Trust.
